weakahoshi | Adventure 1- The Surface [Action]

IIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

[Anyone in the area of Luceti's beach has probably just heard an ear-splitting, sonic screech. The astute observer (or, even the non-astute observer) may notice uncharacteristically large waves breaking up on the beach. For any curious enough, if they look out to sea, they'll notice something spectacular. A large pink mermaid is splashing about, swimming quickly one direction, then crying out- much more quietly now- and changing directions suddenly. She does this a number of times, then dives deep, only to surface a few minutes later, looking for all the world like she's trying to beat the world record for "longest surface jump made by a fish". Whatever her goal is, she doesn't appear to be achieving it, because the process repeats itself over and over.

Those with extremely good eyesight, or who are brave (or stupid) enough to try getting closer may notice a bit of flotsam trailing along behind her.

Vander Decken-sama started sending notes after me, and then it was axes. And now it's books!

[She might need a little more convincing that the journal is really okay.]

[Vander Decken? That name isn't at all familiar to Perona. But...good god, if he was sending all those kinds of things, she can't blame the mermaid for feeling a bit troubled and all that. It's still annoying as hell, but at the very least it's a little justified.

...Doesn't mean Perona's not going to still feel miffed, though, and shows off her own journal, though hers is much, much smaller, obviously.]

I have one too! It's harmless! It's only following you because the waves are carrying it to shore! [Though they do kind of have a tendency to appear even when you lose or break them, but Perona doesn't know that.] It looks just the same as mine, only bigger - stop being such a coward! You're a woman, aren't you?! Hold up your head, no lady looks cute when they're making such a fuss.

B- but what if he starts throwing axes and ships at me again? I don't want to have to stay in the tower all the time again!

[And she sniffles. For someone so big, it's amazing how dainty the sound is.]

[Dainty or not, she's annoying being all mopey and paranoid and, dare Perona think it - negative. It's not as much fun seeing someone wallow in their misery if she's not the one to cause it!]

Oh, be quiet! I've never heard of such a person in Luceti before regardless! If nothing bad has happened yet, then why worry so often?! I said you're not cute when you cry and mope like that, so stop it right this second!
