Adventure 1- The Surface [Action]

[Anyone in the area of Luceti's beach has probably just heard an ear-splitting, sonic screech. The astute observer (or, even the non-astute observer) may notice uncharacteristically large waves breaking up on the beach. For any curious enough, if they look out to sea, they'll notice something spectacular. A large pink mermaid is splashing about, swimming quickly one direction, then crying out- much more quietly now- and changing directions suddenly. She does this a number of times, then dives deep, only to surface a few minutes later, looking for all the world like she's trying to beat the world record for "longest surface jump made by a fish". Whatever her goal is, she doesn't appear to be achieving it, because the process repeats itself over and over.

Those with extremely good eyesight, or who are brave (or stupid) enough to try getting closer may notice a bit of flotsam trailing along behind her.

[Problem with those journals is they tend to decide to turn themselves on at the drop of a hat. Cue flinching at that scream DX But seriously, all she can see is a bunch of sea water and the occasional flash of pink-- what the hell.]

[Princess Luna was standing on the beach, resting her wings before flying back to the village when she is allowed to play witness to this most amazing sight.]

[It seems the water-dwelling human has mastered the Royal Canterlot Voice! Or rather, she was doing splendidly, but seems a bit winded at this point. The dark-colored alicorn merely stands there blinking unconcernedly, waves lapping at her hooves.]

Actually he's out digging a fire pit so he can use it for a beach outing with Shiemi and Yukio later. Or well, he was, until that last wave crashes and floods the hole he was digging floods and the rocks he put in place there go washing out and... his sword which was on the ground next to him starts to get washed out to see.

he makes his own loud howl as he dives into the water, clothes (loose fitting, but still) and all to get it]

[Arata was watching this whole scene on the beach and had to cover up his ears from the screech. He was about to yell, but SUDDENLY. He's sparky eyed from this sight. It was a beautiful pink-haired mermaid. Very few men were followed to see this sight and live to tell the tale! Or at least, Arata was impressed by dat giant body and curves.]

Uwaaah! Hey, Grimoire! Believe me when I say, I've found a mermaid!

Master, please don't start busting into song right now...!

[Perona only just happened to arrive at the beach just a moment or two ago. She hadn't been to the ocean in Luceti since she arrived, and...well, you can't keep a pirate away forever - especially not with the recent heat wave that passed through. Perona had even thought to maybe dip her toes into the water as well, but those thoughts are dashes when she sees the waves, hears the scream, and immediately ducks down covering her head. D-DON'T HURT HER, ANGRY OCEAN SPIRITS OR WHATEVER THE HELL IS OUT HERE, SHE HAS HER WHOLE LIFE TO LIVE!!!

Okay, nothing happened. That's good. Peeking her eyes open, Perona's just in time to see the...seaking? Is that a seaki--no, wait...it's more human like.]

[To everyone else that might be an ear-splitting scream. But to Sanji... well, it's still an ear-splitting scream, but it's also a lady in distress and frankly that's all that matters. So after slapping his hands over his ears, he turns to get a good look out at sea.

And he just... stares. You'd think with his mermaid obsession, Sanji would be quicker to comprehend the situation, but nope. His brain is slow on the uptake even with a pretty, pink mermaid rolling huge waves through the sea - a very huge, very familiar pink mermaid.]
